With over 20 years of experience in wireless communication and antennas, we aim to advance this field alongside the Raspberry Pi. Our self-proclaimed electronics enthusiasts passionately develop products for the maker community, empowering users and customers to build cool things and unleash their creativity. Our portfolio encompasses all Raspberry Pi products.
As an independent procurer of semiconductors of all kinds, we see every day as an opportunity to give our customers a head start: a head start through price advantages or through the speed of our procurement.
Bringing electronic devices to international markets quickly becomes a major challenge: every country has its own requirements, processes, and often its own testing and certification rules. This is exactly where Raspberry Pi supports OEMs with its Global Market Access approach, helping them move faster from development to volume production.
Global Market Access: When certification becomes a project factor
Global Market Access (GMA) encompasses all steps necessary to import and sell a product in a given country, including, for example, submitting documentation to authorities or completing extensive, country-specific product tests. Since international harmonization is still limited, certification can quickly become a costly and time-intensive part of a product launch.
How Raspberry Pi supports OEMs with GMA
With pre-certified products and a network of experts, certifiers, and test laboratories in more than 150 countries, Raspberry Pi supports OEMs throughout the entire GMA process, from gap analysis and testing through to final documentation. This allows OEMs to launch Raspberry Pi components in many markets without having to set up every approval detail from scratch.
Simple provision of compliance documentation
Raspberry Pi provides key certificates and product documentation via the Product Information Portal (PIP), which OEMs can access after registration and signing an NDA. Relevant documents can then be downloaded for submission to authorities worldwide.
Case study: Blue Robotics
Blue Robotics uses the Raspberry Pi 4 worldwide in remotely operated vehicles that dive to depths of up to 300 meters to explore the seabed. With pre-certified Raspberry Pi hardware, Blue Robotics was able to meet many country-specific requirements, accelerate approvals, and roll out internationally faster.
“Thanks to the pre-certified hardware and the support from the Raspberry Pi team, we were able to focus on developing our technologies. Our market launch was faster and more cost-effective than expected,” said a representative of Blue Robotics

FAQ
Who is the GMA approach especially relevant for?
For OEMs launching products in multiple countries, who want to reduce certification costs and make time and effort more predictable.
Do end devices still need to be certified?
In many markets, tests can be avoided. In some countries, however, additional end device certification may be required. The GMA team provides support in these cases.
How do I access the required evidence and documents?
Via the Raspberry Pi Product Information Portal. After registration and signing an NDA, the relevant documents are available for download.
